coffeeOver 100 members of Bearwood Community Centre, residents and local employees were treated to a huge selection of scrumptious homemade cakes. This year the Community Centre Committee and volunteers worked tirelessly, collaborating with a small army of local residents, who baked delicious cakes and helped to promote the event.

Many thanks to all the members and residents who joined us for the coffee morning and helped raise an incredible total of £535 for Macmillan Cancer Support. This event attracted many local residents to visit the Community Centre for the first time.

A big thank you to local businesses and residents who donated over 45cake great prizes worth over £350 for the raffle. The new spot the cake competition was a fun way to help raise over £100.

This year’s event included Bearwood’s very own Great Bake Off competition. The winning cake, raseberry and vanilla victoria sponge was baked by Angie Wilkins. Margret Drayton won the runner’s up prize for her fruit cake.
